📚 Hello Book Friends! Some authors have a way to lure you into the story right from the beginning. Luanne Rice is one of them. This is the second book I read by this author and it will not be the last. THE SHADOW BOX was a nail-biting, edge-of-seat, disquieting, and fantastic read. There are a lot of characters in this book, but each navigates the story in their silo, so it is easy to keep track of them. There are many triggers in this book: emotional and physical abuse, rape, and murder. The plot is extraordinary with lots of twists and turns and although you can guess who did the crime, you still wonder to the end if you are right. If you love intelligent and hair-rising thrillers, this one is for you.
