📚 Hello Book Friends! THE FOUR WINDS by Kristin Hannah was a deeply emotional and beautiful read. It is an account of one remarkable woman’s courage and tenacity in face of adversity. The story takes place between 1921 and 1940 and tells the story of Elsa Wolcott. We find out about her struggles to be loved by her family, her forced marriage after getting pregnant, her life and hardship on her husband’s family farm, her decision to leave with her children in the hope of a better life in California, and her fight to keep her children alive. I was deeply moved by her love for her children, and the sacrifices she was willing to make. This is an extraordinary read and I recommend it to all historical fiction lovers. This is truly a literary masterpiece.
