📚 Hello Book Friends! What a ride or more precisely… what a flight!!! HER LAST FLIGHT by my favourite author, Beatriz Williams was a delight. Ms. Williams delivers yet another marvelous historical novel filled with action, tension and a remarkable love story. Janey Everett is determined to find out what happened to aviator Sam Mallory after his disappearance in Spain during the Spanish Civil War and write a book about him. When she succeeds to locate where his plane crashed and finds a body in the fuselage, she finds further clues. In his diary, he wrote that he was happy that she was rescued and safe. This only can be one woman, famous aviatrix: Irene Lindquist. Continuing her investigation, she will locate the whereabouts of elusive Ms. Lindquist. What she did not expect is that there is so much more to the story.

This is a wonderful novel. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Despite my initial eagerness to delve deeper into the narrative, the unexpected weightiness of the prose caught me off guard.
