Review: The End of Her by Shari Lapena

The End of Her  by  Shari Lapena My rating:  2 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I will probably be in the minority when I say that THE END OF HER by Shari Lapena did not meet my expectations. I recently read A Stranger in the House by the same author and really liked it. This one fell short in a few ways: 1. It felt unrealistic. The characters were not acting as normal people do. I know, I know.. this is a novel and I should not expect all characters to behave like normal people. I was just surprised by their reactions or lack of. 2. The ending felt unfinished. Because I do not want to give away anything, let’s say that I felt rushed and again unrealistic. 3. One scene between Patrick and Erica was so left field that I had a hard time to understand why the author would include it in the book. I have read a few reviews on this book and many people liked it. Maybe it is a case of “It’s not you; it’s me” syndrome and I misunderstood the essence of the book. I am not giving ...

Review: Tailspin by Sandra Brown

Tailspin  by  Sandra Brown My rating:  3 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I recently read a book by Sandra Brown which blew my mind. I decided to give a try to one of her other books: TAILSPIN. Although the story was good, it was long and could have been shortened a bit. Some scenes were fluff and did not add to the story. I did like the main characters: Rye Mallett and Dr. Brynn O'Neal. There was great chemistry between the two of them. This book has a lot of action and chases. It also has awesome sexy scenes. Overall, it was a “not bad” read. #bookstadog #poodles #poodlestagram #poodlesofinstagram #furbabies #dogsofinstagram #bookstagram #dogsandbooks #bookishlife #bookishlove #bookstagrammer #books #booklover #bookish #bookaholic #reading #readersofinstagram #instaread #ilovebooks #bookishcanadians #canadianbookstagram #bookreviewer #bookcommunity #bibliophile #bookphotography #tailspin #sandrabrown #bookreview View all my reviews
