THE HOLLYWOOD JINX by Sariah Wilson presents a delightful small-town romance with a touch of Hollywood glamour. Jane, a temporary librarian and aspiring composer, comes up with a brilliant plan (with the help of her sister-in-law) to boost her struggling hometown of Patience, Ohio—invite movie star Nick Haddon to the Harvest Festival. To her surprise, he agrees. There is a definite attraction at first sight. Jane's heartbroken past makes her cautious, but Nick's charm and warmth slowly break down her defenses. Despite believing he's a jinx, Nick is a sweetheart who genuinely embraces the town and its people. The chemistry between Jane and Nick is heartwarming, and their blossoming romance is filled with sweet moments. I love Ms. Wilson's witty and fun books. Her writing is full of humour and tension. The novel's small-town setting and the clash of Hollywood with rural life make for a fun and flirty read. This book will leave you with a smile, captivated by the charming characters and the promise of love beyond expectations.
