📚 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀! Today is my spot on the blog tour for 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 by Alison Booth. It also happens that today this wonderful book is hitting the shelves at your favourite bookstore.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 is a tale of two very different sisters whose 1890s voyage from London into remote outback Australia becomes a journey of self-discovery, set against the landscape of wild beauty and savage dispossession.

I could not put down this stunning book. First, the writing is superb. Alison Booth transports you in the Australian Outback with her beautiful descriptions and accounts. Second, the story is magnificent and provocative. I love the thought-provoking references to the suffrage movement, the aboriginal rights (or lack of), and the way of life of Australian pioneers in the 1890s. I hope you will add this amazing book to your TBR list, you will not regret it.

🕵🏼‍♀️ About the author: Born in Melbourne and brought up in Sydney, 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 spent over two decades studying, living and working in the UK before returning to Australia some fifteen years ago. Her debut novel, Stillwater Creek, was Highly Commended in the 2011 ACT Book of the Year Award, and afterwards published in Reader’s Digest Select Editions in Asia and in Europe. Alison’s other novels are The Indigo Sky (2011), A Distant Land (2012), and A Perfect Marriage (2018). Alison is Emeritus Professor of Economics at the Australian National University. In November 2019, Alison was made Fellow of the Econometric Society, a prestigious international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics.

It is an easy-going story about a love triangle between a popular girl, a star athlete, and a bad boy. The story was interesting and had some potential.
