📚 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀! I finished reading the ninth book in Julia Spencer-Fleming’s Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne mystery series. The book is entitled 𝗛𝗶𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘀.

In the first book, Clare and Russ had a lot of chemistry and I was looking forward to seeing where their relationship would be in this book. I haven’t read books 2 to 8, so I imagined that the chemistry between both would have grown. I did not imagine that they would be passed the chemistry stage to a full-blown periodic table. This being said, I will have to read the other books to get caught up on the details of some of the characters in this book. I would not recommend reading this one as a stand-alone, you need some background to understand the nuisances of the various secondary stories. Sometimes, these secondary stories steer the focus from the main story. But overall, Julia Spencer-Fleming succeeds to keep her readers on their toes. The plot delivery is intelligent and motivating. 𝗛𝗶𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗘𝘆𝗲𝘀 is a good book.
