Review: All the Sinners Bleed by S.A. Cosby

A Miniature Poodle and a Golden Doodle 3lyong on a bed with a hardcover book between them. The book is All The Sinners Bleed by S. A. Cosby.

All the Sinners BleedALL THE SINNERS BLEED by S.A. Cosby is a gripping and gritty novel that delves into the reckoning of sins, both personal and societal. Titus Crowne, the first Black sheriff in Charon County, serves as the book's compelling moral center. The story takes off after a tragic school shooting, revealing the presence of a brutal serial killer in their midst who threatens everything Titus holds dear.

The author skillfully weaves together the complexities of Titus's personal traumas with the challenges of navigating the politics of a Southern small town. The nonstop action keeps readers engaged, while Titus's character shines with depth and authenticity. However, the rushed ending and some undeveloped plot points leave the reader wanting more, particularly regarding the young man involved in the school shooting.

Despite these minor flaws, "All the Sinners Bleed" is an awesome and layered novel that captures the dark realities of the American South. It is a compelling exploration of justice, identity, and the complexities of wearing a police uniform as a Black man.
