📚 Hello Book Friends! HURRICANE SUMMER by Asha Bromfield was an emotional and heartbreaking story of a teenager visiting her father in Jamaica. I spent a good part of my life surrounded by lovely Jamaican people and I truly enjoyed how this book was true to the Jamaican culture. I particularly enjoyed the patois, the reference to the food, and the sass that only Jamaican women have. The author also infused the book with beautiful descriptions of the countryside and landmarks. The story will transport you to the beautiful island of Jamaica where you will experience this strong young woman’s coming of age, deceptions, and heartbreaks. Beautiful read.
