📚 Hello Book Friends! I read many great reviews about THE HENNA ARTIST by Alka Joshi and I was afraid that they would influence my thoughts about this book. It turned out that THE HENNA ARTIST is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Would you believe that the words in this book are so beautiful that you can almost smell the fragrant oils, taste the savoury food, see the vivid colours of the spices, and feel the softness of the sarees described in this story. You are transported in India and surrounded by all its beauty and all its shortcomings. As the author reveals Lakshmi’s life, we feel her joy, her pain, and her heartbreaks. I was sad when the book ended, and I am looking forward to reading the second book when it comes out in June. This is truly a gorgeous literary canvas that will mesmerize you.
