People of the Book📚 Hello Book Friends! I just finished the wonderful book entitle PEOPLE OF THE BOOK by Geraldine Brooks. Thanks again, Annie (a.k.a. @pawsandpagesbyannie) for gifting me a copy of this wonderful book. This book is based on true events about a centuries-old Hebrew codex known as the Sarajevo Haggadah. After its discovery in 1996 in Sarajevo, Hanna has been requested to examine the book before it is put on display at the museum. Hanna will go beyond examining the book, she will attempt to investigate its origins and where it traveled over the years. The book is written in two times, today covering Hanna’s investigation and the past where we discover who created this masterpiece and what happened to it over time. The modern account is great, but the past account is stunning. Such a beautiful and touching story. This book is a must-read if you love historical adventures and discoveries.
