This is the second book in a the series entitled "The Remnant Chronicles". Mary E. Pearson did not disappoint. This second book is as good as the first one and the story continues to grow into this awesome epic. The primary characters have evolved and matured; and the new ones are each bringing new dimensions to the story. Not everything is what it seems. What one believed so strongly in the past can be changed with the opening of the eyes of the soul. Betrayal runs deep bringing new obstacles to conquer. New alliances are formed and are their only hope.
