First Card for the 8th CDAC Progressive Challenge

This is my first entry for the 8th Progressive Challenge at CDAC. You have to be a member of the CDAC site and also of the Progressing Challenge group in order to participate. For every challenge you get wonderful images from quality artists for FREE!! Oh yeah!! FOR FREE!!! There is a small fee if you are joining for the first time or have not met the "one project per challenge" minimum requirement ($1).

This time around, there is a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp for grab called Leah and the Fishbowl. I decided to use it for my first card. The sketch is by The Sweetest Thing:

BD card for my big brother Rejean

Ok! I have to admit that I am totally making fun of my brother. For those of you who do not speak French, the front sentiment says: "There's no doubt about it! When you are cool! You are cool!" The inside sentiment says: "A big birthday wish to a guy who never loses his cool!"  That's the biggest sarcastic lie I could come up with. My brother loses his cool faster than you can say the word "Cool". I still love him to death and have learned over the years how to diffuse him quickly. He thinks he is tough, but really he is just a big teddy bear. :) Bonne fête Réjean!!!

BTW... the image is by my son Jega. It is called Karlos and is available in my store if you are interested.

I entered this card in the following challenges:
Here Come the Boys - For the Man/Men in Your Life
4 Crafty Chicks - Birthday
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
Willow Sketchie Challenge - Anything Goes

Christmas Card with a Wreath Twist at Guylou's Inimitability

This week Kim is challenging us to make a Christmas card with a wreath twist. For my project, I decided to use Dorothy and Gift. I made the wreath using a branch punch by Martha Stewart. I added some Stickles on the branches, but the pictures don't show that very well. :(

This will be the last GI challenge for the year and what better way to end than with a Christmas Card challenge. The challenge starts today and ends at 10:00pm on December 1st. A random winner will be selected and will win a $10 gift certificate from Guylou's Inimitability Online Store and an opportunity to be a Guest Designer on one of our challenges in 2012. Don't forget to go see what my fellow DT members did for this challenge at Guylou's Inimitability.
