FIREFLY LANE by Kristin Hannah is a beautiful (sometimes frustrating) story about friendship, family, and love. I loved the characters and all their flaws. The story was often heartbreaking, and I shed a few tears as I read it. I appreciate that the author brings awareness to inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). Knowing how to recognise the signs and symptoms of this type of cancer goes a long way in defeating it. If you are a woman, I encourage you to do your breast exam every month, know your body and if something does not feel or look right, contact your doctor immediately.
