Devon Daniels' THE ROM CON is a delightful romantic comedy that blends humor with unexpected depth. Cassidy Sutton, recovering from a tough breakup, decides to turn her grandmother's 1950s dating guide into a satirical article for the women's publication, Siren. Targeting Jack Bradford, the creator of the rival men's site Brawler, she expects an easy victory. However, the outdated tips surprisingly work, challenging her convictions. The story unfolds with warmth as Cassidy's relationship with her grandmother is beautifully portrayed. Cassidy, a funny and independent protagonist, navigates the experiment, discovering unexpected truths about herself and the validity of old-fashioned advice. The chemistry between Cassidy and Jack is palpable, and their honest conversations add a layer of authenticity. Daniels masterfully weaves humor, romance, and personal growth, making this romance novel a memorable and heartwarming read.
