While visiting my daughter and my new grandson, I had the chance to babysit him and read LE VOLEUR DE MITAINES (The Mitten Thief) to him. It's a delightful French children's book written by Guylaine Ouellet and beautifully illustrated by Guylaine Lafleur. The story revolves around Caramel, Mr. Dany's dog, who offers comfort and companionship to the schoolchildren. However, his mischievous habit of playfully stealing hats and mittens during recess poses a question: will the children forgive him?

The book's strength lies in its captivating illustrations that skillfully portray the heartwarming story. Guylaine Lafleur's art complements Guylaine Ouellet's writing, enhancing the overall reading experience.
