📚 Hello Book Friends! It is Monday again and still very cold here. It is appropriate that I just finished NUCLEAR WINTER by Caroline Breault. This graphic novel is everything I hoped for: fun characters, beautiful illustrations, and an interesting story. Can you imagine a winter that lasts nine years? Well, this is exactly what is happening in Montreal after a major accident at a nuclear station. Flavie Beaumont avoids people as much as she can and works for a snowmobile delivery service. She is aware that the radioactive snow is starting to get to her and tries to keep her temper in check so that no one will know her secret. In this first volume, she will meet a popular guy who has an awful girlfriend; she will brave a major snowstorm to make her deliveries and fight mutants to save a baby raccoon to be eaten. All in a day’s work! I enjoyed this graphic novel, and I am looking forward to reading the next volume.
