YOU WOULDN'T DARE by Samantha Markum is a coming-of-age romance novel that tells the story of Juniper and Graham, childhood friends turned summer fling. The novel explores the consequences of Juniper's decision to keep their romance a secret, leading to a fallout that threatens their friendship.

Ms. Markum's writing is relatable and engaging, painting a realistic picture of the challenges faced by young adults. The characters are well-developed, and their struggles with identity and relationships are explored in depth. However, the pacing of the story feels slow at times, and some plot points seem unnecessary.
