📚 Hello Book Friends! I received a copy of WHEN THE STARS GO DARK by Paula McLain with my @sweetreadsbox. This book was a rollercoaster of nail-biting emotions. It was scary, unnerving, and ended with a “wow” moment. It is a well-written mystery/thriller with all the boxes checked. It comes with many triggers such as child abuse, child abduction, violence, and rape. As a parent, I found the plot hard to read at times because it brought up my biggest fears. I am glad that the book ended positively.
