📚 Hello Book Friends! THE DEEP by Alma Katsu has been on my TBR shelf for a while and has been calling my name the past few weeks. As I am trying to read as many books on my TBR shelf as possible, I gave in and read it. I am so happy I did… what a fantastic book. Anything Titanic intrigues me. Annie worked as a stewardess on the Titanic and survived the sinking. Four years later, she becomes a nurse on the Britannic (The Titanic sister ship), now repurposed as a war hospital. The story follows Annie in both timelines and reveals what happened to her on both ships. The story is enthralling and ghostly fascinating. The plot is powerful and the characters spellbinding. The only letdown was the ending. It felt disjointed and did not give, in my opinion, a satisfying ending to the story. It is nevertheless a great book, and the story adds an eerie twist to the Titanic account.
