Never judge a book by its cover, they say! I have to come clear and admit that I selected this book because of its cover... it is so beautiful! And guess what!!! The book was pretty awesome too! I love stories where the author uses the past to define the present. Especially when they used actual historical characters, documents or events. When I see a name I do not recognise; I google it and learn about who he/she/it was and their contribution to history. This book is full of these kinds of goodies: music composers, alchemists, religious personalities and royalties. This is a great story with lots of surprising plots. Love it!
