My rating: 4 of 5 stars



My friend Lynn loaned me this amazing book. I was captured by the story right from the beginning and right to the end. The story was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. This is a poignant account of motherly love and sacrifice. There were sensitive subjects which were thought provoking and many good survival advice. Although the story has a touching conclusion; it left me wanting to know more about the future and how well it will turn out for Jack and his mother.

I read somewhere that someone purchased the movie rights to this book. Personally, I don't want to see this story on the big screen; I rather leave my imagination undisturbed. This is not an easy subject to write or read about; never mind seeing it.
