The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I read this book for my book club. I did not particularly like it. The story is confusing and hard to follow. Lots of wonderful characters with great story potential, but not explored by the author.
I am not sure what was the point of this story in the end. I did not fully understand why Lily left her husband and daughter and why Ruth decided to stay in Israel longer than expected. I am sure many of you will volunteer that information if you have read the book. But really? That did not make much sense to me and I don't really want to spend more time on this book. Oh wait! I will have to... at the book club meeting. :(
