Review: Christmas at Home by Carolyn Brown

Christmas at Home  by  Carolyn Brown My rating:  3 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! 2020 has been one of the weirdest years ever. Can’t complain about the weather, we had a perfect Summer which extended all the way to mid Fall. If there was no pandemic, it would have been flawless. I cannot deny that COVID-19 took a toll on my mental health and I had to find ways to cheer myself up more than one time. One way to do that is to read books that are light, sexy, or funny. CHRISTMAS AT HOME by Carolyn Brown is one of those books. The story is sassy, the characters sexy, and the ending sensational. I love the tension between Sage and Creed, but I also love the animal rescue aspect. It is a quick read that will lift your spirit. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Thank you, RAINCOAST BOOKS for sending me a final copy of this sexy romance novel. CHRISTMAS AT HOME by Carolyn Brown is available at your favourite bookstore. 🎅🏻📕 CHRISTMAS IS COMING! Are you looking for the perfect gift for a book lover? Lo...

Review: People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks

People of the Book  by  Geraldine Brooks My rating:  4 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I just finished the wonderful book entitle PEOPLE OF THE BOOK by Geraldine Brooks. Thanks again, Annie (a.k.a. @pawsandpagesbyannie) for gifting me a copy of this wonderful book. This book is based on true events about a centuries-old Hebrew codex known as the Sarajevo Haggadah. After its discovery in 1996 in Sarajevo, Hanna has been requested to examine the book before it is put on display at the museum. Hanna will go beyond examining the book, she will attempt to investigate its origins and where it traveled over the years. The book is written in two times, today covering Hanna’s investigation and the past where we discover who created this masterpiece and what happened to it over time. The modern account is great, but the past account is stunning. Such a beautiful and touching story. This book is a must-read if you love historical adventures and discoveries. #bookstadog #poodles #p...

Review: 12 Men for Christmas by Phillipa Ashley

12 Men for Christmas  by  Phillipa Ashley My rating:  3 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I don’t know about you but lately, it has been more difficult to get motivated. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy and healthy, but the lack of social interaction is starting to take a toll. After reading a serious historical novel, I needed something light and fun to boost my spirit. I found exactly that in 12 MEN FOR CHRISTMAS by Phillipa Ashley. Although it has the word Christmas in the title, it is not really a “Christmas” novel. It is a love story with lots of racy moments. It is a perfect fun, sassy, and sexy read. The tension between Emma and Will gives you the chills at the right places. It is a short book, but it is the right prescription to lift your spirit and put a smile on your face. I recommend this romcom wholeheartedly. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Thank you, RAINCOAST BOOKS for sending me a final copy of this sassy romcom. 12 MEN FOR CHRISTMAS by Phillipa Ashley is available at your favourit...

Review: Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez

Love in the Time of Cholera  by  Gabriel García Márquez My rating:  4 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I had my eyes on LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA by Gabriel García Márquez for a while. I tried to read one classic every month and although this book is not very old, it has already recognised as a classic book. The writing is magnificent, the story is passionate, and the characters memorable. It could have been a bit shorter because it became repetitive at times. The ending was perfect for this ardent love story. I love how the author captured the deep feelings of the characters and described their love and pain so vividly. In my opinion, it has earned its right to become a classic. This beautiful story will be read for generations. #bookstadog #poodles #poodlestagram #poodlesofinstagram #furbabies #dogsofinstagram #bookstagram #dogsandbooks #bookishlife #bookishlove #bookstagrammer #books #booklover #bookish #bookaholic #reading #readersofinstagram #instaread #ilovebook...

Review: The Return by Nicholas Sparks

The Return  by  Nicholas Sparks My rating:  3 of 5 stars 📚 Hello Book Friends! I love this author’s books; they are emotional and always leave you with a sense that you have witnessed the most beautiful love stories. The Return was a bit different. The story was lovely, but I did not enjoy it as much as I did in his other books. The relationship between Trevor and Natalie Masterson lacked the usual sparks and the side story of Callie felt incomplete. It was still an enjoyable read and the ending was charming. #bookstadog #poodles #poodlestagram #poodlesofinstagram #furbabies #dogsofinstagram #bookstagram #dogsandbooks #bookishlife #bookishlove #bookstagrammer #books #booklover #bookish #bookaholic #reading #readersofinstagram #instaread #ilovebooks #bookishcanadians #canadianbookstagram #bookreviewer #bookcommunity #bibliophile #bookphotography #thereturn #nicholassparks #bookreview View all my reviews
