The ending was one of the most surprising I have ever encountered. I had great expectations for The First Mistake. I gave it a 4-❤️ rating because I guess the plot early in the book. The story was still very enjoyable to read. The First Mistake has such a pretty cover and the marketing campaign around the book is fantastic. Sandie Jones has a great handle on the flow of the story and the characters are well defined. The element of surprise was missing, but it was a solid plot none-the-less. I am looking forward to reading her next book. A big thank you to St. Martin's Press for sending me a copy of this much-anticipated book.
