Goodbye Joy

It is with great sadness that I write this blog post today. At about 2pm this afternoon, Joy was put to sleep after a long and full life.

Joy was born on January 9, 1996; she would have been 15 years old in a few days. We got her when she was only a few weeks old. She was healthy all her life until last summer. We waited a far as we could, but this week she got worse and I knew it was time to let go. It was really not an easy decision. I was away this week at my parents and came back last night to find her worse than ever. I call the vet this morning and by 2pm, she was gone.

I have been second guessing my decision for all day. Should I have paid the Vet to try to fix her, knowing that this could have added a few months or years to her life? Should I just have waited a few more days and see if she would have got better? Am I a monster for ending her life and not letting die of natural causes? What could I have done to make things better for her?

I miss her already. I miss her a lot! She was by far the best dog I have ever had. My heart is aching and I just can't stop crying. Today I lost my girl! Goodbye Joy! I love you!

Guylou's Inimitability - Smile Challenge

A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.
~Phyllis Diller

It is so easy to make someone smile, just smile at them and they won't be able to resist and will smile back.

This week, Guylou's Inimitability is having a "Smile" Challenge. All you have to do is use the "Smile" Bingo card provide for free on GI Blog together with another digistamp, preferably a GI digistamp since only cards made with GI digis can be eligible to win. The winner gets a GI digi of her choice and a Guest Designer spot on an upcoming challenge. Good stuff! The challenge will run until January 6th so you have plenty of time to make a project or more to increase your chance to win. Have fun and wear a smile today - one size fits all! :)

I made a birthday card for my daughter who just turned 20. 20!!!! I just can't believe it!! What happened? Where did the time go? I am way too young to have a 20 year old daughter! LOL! I wanted her card to reflect her cheerfulness and maturity. I love the "Bernadette" image; she is pretty and fun! The "Smile" Bingo card was a great addition to the theme. Overall I was quite happy with the card. My daughter loved it! That's really what counts.

Guylou's Inimitability Christmas Card Challenge

Guylou's Inimitability is having a Christmas Card Challenge from December 2 to the 16th.

To participate, you can enter any newly made Christmas cards or projects, but in order to qualify to win, you will need to use a Guylou's Inimitability digistamp.

The winner will be awarded a digistamp of her choice from Guylou's Inimitability Store and will also be invited to be a Guest Designer on an upcoming challenge and will get another GI digistamp to make a card or project along the DT.

You have to go see the wonderful work of GI's DT. They made such wonderful cards with "Chuck the Elf" and "Snowman Cowboy 2". These ladies are so talented. I hope you will participate.
